As pop music once again descends into the naff oblivion of over-produced and under-sentimental nonsense, it is good to see that there are still some artists looking to bring some likeable charm to today's commercial sounds.
After releasing her debut single 'Issues' earlier in the year, 23-year-old singer-songwriter Julia Michaels has found herself quickly becoming one of the hottest new names in the world today. 'Issues' managed to gather 4million streams online, and gave her her ninth single in the US top 40 as a songwriter and her first as a solo artist, paving the way for her follow up.
Now she is back with the heavily infectious 'Uh Huh', a track that treads a fine line between instant hit and irritating earworm, depending on your exposure to it. There is something insatiable about the way the song flows and believe me, after just one listen, you'll be humming it all day.
