ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No. 234 Twinnie

Over the last few years we have seen numerous UK artists adopting the long-prevailing US sound of country music. From Ward Thomas to The Shires, we have truly begun to embrace this American sound and the latest to slap on her cowboy boots has been the fast rising Twinnie, who recently released her latest EP 'Better When I'm Drunk'.

Describing the lead single as “showing the humour and the truth in what people actually feel on a night out vs the morning after”, Twinnie looks to adopt the more pop friendly side of country music, recently made internationally known by Taylor Swift. With its uplifting chorus and anthemic lyrics, the new track delivers a strong and confident introduction to the young frontwoman, who already seems set to take on the world.

Having already made a huge impression during her performance at the Country2Country event at the O2 Arena earlier this month, she is also planning to perform her debut headline show at London's The Lexington on the 17th April.

Her new EP 'Better When I'm Drunk' is available to stream and download now, and you can check out the new video for its title-track in the player below.
