ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No. 237 The Naked Eye

With mainstage artists such as Solange and Tom Misch proving that you can inject some solid jazz influences into high profile records, many has now seized the opportunity to blend the classic sound with a contemporary vibe. And so we introduce you to one of London's most exciting emerging artists The Naked Eye.

After releasing her self-titled debut EP back in 2016, the singer-songwriter has been hard at work establishing herself in the scene, working on collaborations and other projects to help build her name, as she now returns with her latest EP 'Love's Grave'. Featuring a guest appearance from Marie Dahlstrøm, 'Love's Grave' EP is that wonderful blend of sensual RnB influence with an almost timeless feel. Her stunning voice drips like honey over a bed of solid and chunky soul production that really pops and aids in bringing her beautiful songwriting to life.

The Naked Eye is also part of a collective of 5 women around the world who connected via social media after discovering each others’ music, and last year released a project that has since garnered over 500,000 streams online.

She will be hosting her EP launch party at London's Servant Jazz Quarters on the 23rd April, and 'Love's Grave' is now available to stream and download from today. Check out the full release in the player below.
