Bonnie “Prince” Billy has announced 'Ghosts of American Psychonauts', a new live album arriving on the 18th September, offering a fresh perspective on songs from across Will Oldham's celebrated catalogue. Recorded during a pair of intimate performances at Los Angeles' Pico Union Project in February 2025, the eight-track collection captures the spontaneity and collaborative spirit that have long defined his live shows.
Leading the announcement is a newly released live version of 'London May', which reworks the fan favourite with expanded instrumentation and features drummer London May, whose performance adds another layer of intensity to the recording. The album also revisits three songs from The Purple Bird, reshaping them alongside older material through inventive new arrangements.
Oldham is joined by his regular touring musicians Thomas Deakin and Jacob Duncan, alongside an impressive lineup of guest performers including Emmett Kelly, Ryder McNair, Patrick Shiroishi, Dv DeVincentis, Dave Ferguson and London May.
