Elbow share new single 'Empires'

With their highly-anticipated new album on the horizon, Elbow have now shared the next cut to be lifted from their forthcoming full-length.

The new single 'Empires' was recorded at Clouds Hill Studios in Hamburg, and follows on from the previously shared track 'Dexter & Sinister' in previewing their eighth LP 'Giant In All Sizes', which is set to be released on the 11th October via Polydor Records.

Speaking about their choice of location to record the track, keyboardist and producer Craig Potter said, “We thought the studio would give us inner city vibes but we were on the edge of Hamburg which meant we spent more time in Clouds Hill rather than exploring. With time to spare, we sat around and played together in a way we haven’t for a long time and experimented and improvised with the music which led to the looser feel you hear on ‘Empires’”.
