Johnny Marr announces new album 'The Age Of Everything'

Johnny Marr has announced the release of his fifth solo studio album 'The Age Of Everything', arriving on the 2nd October via BMG, alongside the unveiling of its lead single, ‘Spin’.

Serving as the opening chapter of the forthcoming record, ‘Spin’ captures the restless energy that runs throughout the project. Built around Marr’s trademark guitar work and driving momentum, the track reflects on the challenge of navigating an increasingly fast-moving world, where information, technology and constant stimulation can feel both inspiring and overwhelming.

Described by Marr as the most personally revealing collection of songs he has written, 'The Age Of Everything' was developed between London, North America and Manchester, drawing inspiration from the pace, creativity and contradictions of modern life. The album emerged through an unusual process, with much of the new material road-tested during live performances before entering the studio, allowing the songs to evolve directly in front of audiences.
