After spending the last two decades exploring a multitude of angles and genres within the guitar-rock world, Prague-based artist Lazer Viking is now looking to venture into a more electronic realm as he delivers his pulsing new single 'Yr Body'.
Lifted from his forthcoming new album 'Tunnel Vision', which is set to arrive in September later this year, 'Yr Body' makes a bold statement about his intent with this new project. With not a guitar chord in sight, he looks to pursue the more ambient edge of electronic music, gifting us something wonderfully engaging and captivating throughout.
As the first offering from his new collection, 'Yr Body' sets itself as the blueprint of what is to come from this dynamic singer and songwriter. Still in a constant state of exploration, we can expect plenty of surprises when his latest full-length finally drops.
Adding about the new song, he said, “I was instantly hooked and just didn’t look back. I sold off my guitars and stocked up on electronic gear to experiment with. At the same time I was hesitant to include computers in the songwriting process. Something about the constant challenges of a lo-fi recording setup just felt right. It kept me focused on essentials, not the unforgiving black hole of contemporary music production bells and whistles.”
