Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announce best-of compilation 'Lovely Creatures'

Following on from their brilliantly stunning 2016 album 'Skeleton Tree', Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced their plans to release a best-of compilation later this year.

'Lovely Creatures' is set to include a vast array of the band's material, stretching only from 1984-2014, and has been complied in order for some of their more recent or fair-weather fans to enjoy more of the incredible legacy this band has already maintained.

Talking about the collection, Nick Cave said, “There are some people out there who just don't know where to start with The Bad Seeds. Others know the catalogue better than I do! This release is designed to be a way into three decades of music making. That's a lot of songs. The songs we have chosen are the ones that have stuck around, for whatever reason. Some songs are those that demand to be played live. Others are lesser songs that are personal favourites of ours. Others are just too big and have too much history to leave out. And there are those that didn't make it, poor things. They are the ones you must discover by yourselves.”

'Lovely Creatures' is due out on the 5th May via Mute Records/BMG on a range of formats including 2CD, 3xVinyl, Deluxe 3CD & DVD, and super deluxe 3CD & DVD with hardcover book, set to include original essays, candid and personal photos taken by the band family and friends, and reproductions of band memorabilia.
