After the rousing response to their stunning debut single 'High Time' last year, South Dakota-based outfit Winter Hell recently delivered their highly-praised new EP 'An Exercise In Joy', showcased by the sprawling new offering 'Blood Of Love'.
Continuing to pursue more of that broad and atmospheric post-punk-inspired direction they have been building for themselves, 'Blood Of Love' makes for a brilliantly bold and enigmatic listen. With its warm yet pensive atmosphere, blended with some brilliant dark electronics moments towards the end, this lot are cementing themselves as one of the more intriguing names on the rise right now.
While they may only be at the start of their journey so far, 'Blood Of Love' shows that they are brimming with rich and alluring textures in which to hone. With such a strong and confident approach to their sound and songwriting already, they are definitely ones to keep a firm eye on for the year ahead as well.
