ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.343 - Frankie Beetlestone

Every now and again, a new artist comes along and instantly grabs your attention with their distinctive flair. Sheffield-based singer, songwriter and producer Frankie Beetlestone is one such artist.

The 19-year-old self-writes and produces all of his music from his bedroom, redefining the ideals of what we expect from bedroom-pop. His debut single 'Sober Again' has this wonderfully upbeat aesthetic to it, showing huge promise for this future star in the making and instantly grabbing our attention throughout.

Speaking about the new offering, Frankie said, “This song genuinely just came out of thin air. That’s a proper cliche “songwriter” thing to say but it actually did, so leave me alone. It’s basically just an anxious rant about being 19 and taking too many drugs. The chorus started out as a bit of a joke really. You know when you wake up the next day and you say that you’re “never gonna drink that much ever again”, it was kind of meant to be that dramatic statement.”
