London favourites Mystery Jets have unveiled ‘Soul River’, a poignant new release taken from their forthcoming seventh studio album 'A Hole To See The Sky Through', due for release on the 21st August via Fiction Records.
Offering a very different perspective to the record’s previously released material, ‘Soul River’ is an emotionally rich tribute inspired by the memory of a beloved member of the band’s Eel Pie Island community. Written in honour of a close friend whose life ended tragically, the song reflects on remembrance, loss, and the lasting impact a person can leave behind.
Across its expansive runtime, Mystery Jets deliver one of their most heartfelt compositions in recent years, combining elegant melodies with deeply reflective songwriting.
