Snail Mail announces new album 'Ricochet'

Snail Mail, the acclaimed indie project of singer-songwriter Lindsey Jordan, has officially announced her third full-length album 'Ricochet', set for release on the 27th March via Matador Records. Marking her first album in five years, the record sees Jordan expanding her sonic and emotional palette, turning her gaze inward to explore mortality, time, and the delicate beauty of fleeting connection.

Alongside the announcement comes the lead single ‘Dead End’, a fuzzy, hook-laden alt-rock anthem that recalls suburban coming-of-age nights, full of haze, nostalgia, and the ache of youth dissolving in the rearview. Directed by Jordan and Elsie Richter, the accompanying video captures the track’s wistful chaos, filmed guerilla-style in rural North Carolina with cops reportedly called during a midnight fireworks scene.

Written between Brooklyn and North Carolina, 'Ricochet' blends shimmering 90s guitar tones with orchestral flourishes and more measured vocals, a post-surgery evolution that enhances Jordan’s trademark vulnerability. With Ricochet, she reasserts herself as one of indie rock’s most vital voices.
