AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd charged with arranging a murder

The drummer for long-standing rock outfit AC/DC Phil Rudd has been charged with trying to procure a murder.

According to BBC News, the musician appeared in New Zealand court earlier this week where he was charged with trying to arrange a murder, as well as threats to kill and for possession of drugs methamphetamine and cannabis.

Rudd, who has been part of the band since 1994, has now been released on bail, pending further investigations. Although no exact details surrounding the plot have been revealed, if found guilty, he could receive a up to a 10-year jail sentence.
