ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.257 - King Nun

After delivering their exceptional debut EP 'I Have Love' last year, West London-based outfit King Nun are getting us more than hyped for the year ahead as they now announce the details behind their debut album 'Mass'.

Accompanied with the captivating lead single 'Black Tree', the band look to make an instant impression in building the buzz behind their first full-length. Taking influence from the darker tones of Nine Inch Nails and Nick Cave, this new effort sees the group meander their way through sombre basslines and frontman Theo Polyzoides's striking vocals, making for a extremely impactful new offering.

Speaking about the new release, Polyzoides said, "'Black Tree' is a hard run through something bleak, and I think it had to be done. The album is really autobiographical. It’s full of songs about becoming, songs about reminiscing, songs about making an album. It’s a tribute to teenage angst, to naivety, to memories both melancholic and despairingly sad - to the need to step up to the plate."

King Nun will release 'Mass' on the 4th October through Dirty Hit, and you can watch the new video for 'Black Tree' in the player below.
