ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.293 - Barley Passable

After spending the last few months locked away with what seems like nothing but 70s disco and 80s new wave records, Australian duo Barley Passable are now ready to unveil themselves to the world as they release their debut single 'All I Have'.

Following in the footsteps of other electro-pop innovators such as Daft Punk, Jungle and Chromeo, 'All I Have' is the sparkling and uplifting introduction to a duo that look set to be making a huge impact in the months ahead. With its fresh and vibrant aesthetic, the pair deliver a bright and bouncing debut offering with all the disco trimming you could ask for.

Speaking about their new release, the band said, “'All I Have', as our first release perfectly captures Barley Passable’s message and image. It is a darker track with a powerful reminder that one's own mind is the strongest tool we have, and resonates with us a representation of an anxious mind. Just how the mind goes through periods of darkness and light, the song both lyrically and sonically forms a similar journey of cloudiness in the verse, to a feeling of openness and release in the chorus. All I Have’s message is portrayed by following a story that takes place in a single instance; the moment following a glance of a new love and the turmoil that comes with it in the mind of a hopeless romantic."
