With their highly-praised single series Nice Swan Introduces... introducing us all to likes of Sports Team, Pip Blom, Hotel Lux, FUR and many more since beginning last year, Nice Swan Records are now continuing their impressive streak as they add Opus Kink to their illustrious alumni.
Produced by The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess and recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales, the Brighton-based collective's new single 'Wild Bill' makes for an intense and captivating listen from start to finish. Influenced by a diverse array of artists, which include The Lounge Lizards, The Blockheads, Ali Farka Toure, Fela Kuti, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen, this vibrant new offering sees them return with one of their most stylish and interesting cuts to date.
Speaking about the new offering, the band said, “‘Wild Bill’ takes the frontier lawman-gunslinger Wild Bill Hickock and ungraciously twists him into a poster boy for the Western gentleman’s assault on God, death, judgement, nature, women and foreigners”.
