ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.364 - Alix Page

After impressing so many with her brilliant singles ‘Frank’ and ’Stripes’ last year, fast-rising 19-year-old Southern California-born Alix Page has now returned once again with her exciting new effort '25'.

Following in the footsteps of Phoebe Bridgers, Wallice, and Holly Humberstone, this alt-pop newcomer is certainly going to turn some hands with this one. Much like what we have heard so far, '25' continues that bold and effervescent direction she has cultivated for herself, and makes for an extremely heartwarming listen.

Speaking about the new offering, she said, “25 is about reminiscing on a past relationship - going down the rabbit hole of wondering what could have been different and where you’ll both end up later in life. I wrote it at a time where romanticising the future was the best way to escape everything I was feeling being stuck at home in quarantine. This one is definitely a favorite; in terms of writing and production, I don’t think I've ever been prouder of a song.”

Alex Page is also expected to release her debut EP early next year, and you can watch the new video for '25' in the player below.
