ARTIST OF THE WEEK: No.424 - Honey Moon

Having already captured a huge amount of buzz thanks to a flurry of enigmatic releases these last few months, even earning praise from the legendary Sir Elton John, Honey Moon return once again with their jovial new single 'Heart Won't Wait'.

Lifted from their forthcoming debut album 'Same Old Paradise', which arrives on the 31st January, 'Heart Won't Wait' sees them continue that sweet and alluring pop-rock direction they have built for themselves. Blending classic Beach Boys-esque harmonies with a bouncing guitar-led production throughout, they are continuing to prove themselves as one of the standout newcomers for the year ahead.

Speaking about the new offering, vocalist and guitarist Jack Slater Chandler said, "We were in the middle of lockdown and listening to a lot of Northern Soul and Motown at the time. We wanted to try and make a big pop tune that we could dance around to, mostly to lift the mood in those darker days of being all cooped up. It was one of the first ones we recorded for the album and really fun to put together - all finally singing and playing in the same room as a little merry gang. Beneath the merriment, the song touches on some of the problems that come from comparing yourself to others and thinking the grass is always greener elsewhere.”
