Emerging from the sharp end of the UK indie scene, Fletchr Fletchr have arrived with their storming debut single 'Jet Black', a relentless slice of melody-driven, angst-fuelled guitar pop that wastes no time in staking its claim. Angular riffs, pounding drums, and urgent vocal harmonies propel the track forward with a feverish energy that feels purpose-built to tear the roof off every grassroots venue on their upcoming tour. And yet, with a sound this big, you sense it’s the arenas they’ve really got in mind.
Made up of vocalist/guitarist Rohan Fletcher, lead guitarist Adam Sanders, drummer Oli Williams, and bassist George Green, the story of Fletchr Fletchr is one of friendship, loss, and raw passion. Born from teenage bands and shared pints at the pub, the band name itself doubles as tribute, both to Rohan’s late father and to the adopted family bond between Rohan and Adam.
Their first release 'Jet Black' finds its emotional centre in love, grief, and anxiety, a lyrical honesty that’s already striking a chord with their growing fanbase. “It was written when my girlfriend moved away to the city to start her career,” says Rohan, “and it felt like our relationship was changing in a way that felt out of my control. The backing vocals and the pace of the song sound like shouts of heartbreak — and hopefully that rings true for anyone who’s felt the same.”
With tunes this tight and hearts worn so proudly on sleeve, Fletchr Fletchr are making an unforgettable first impression. If 'Jet Black' is just the beginning, the future is very loud indeed. Check it out in the player below.
