Bully - 'Feels Like'

8/10

While the musical history of Nashville is no secret, one band looking to reinvent the modern sound of America's deep south is four-piece Bully. Having already been the talk of the indie rock underground since the unveiling of their single 'Milkman', Bully are less about relishing in the sounds of times gone by and more about pushing and promoting a more interesting direction in American music.

Like a greyhound out of a starting pen, 'Feels Like' hits the ground running and doesn't stop until the bitter end. Coming across like a well-paced Joy Formidable, Bully have this incredibly infectious energy about them. There is something about their ferocious attitude and positive songwriting that makes them not only a treat to listen to but also force to be reckoned with, as this album flows with the pace and rhythm of a far more experienced outfit.

While the band's sound is nothing revolutionary, the execution of it is spot on. Every track delivers more enthusiasm than the last and makes 'Feels Like' one of the most enjoyable records we have heard so far this year.
