CAPYAC are back at their irresistible best with ‘Big CrUsh En3rgY’, a gloriously funky new single celebrating fleeting romance, friendship and the connections formed through life on the road.
Created between Berlin and Los Angeles, the track follows recent singles ‘Fly Forever’, ‘Opulence Machine’ and ‘Rye Bread’, while steering the trio back towards their intoxicating collision of disco, indie electronic and soul.
A hypnotic guitar riff provides the spark before syncopated drums, silky keyboards and elastic synth bass send everything hurtling towards the dancefloor. There are shades of Tom Misch, FKJ, Anderson .Paak and early Toro y Moi, but CAPYAC's combination of dreamy vocals, playful experimentation and emotional warmth remains wonderfully distinctive.
