Cheatahs - 'Mythologies'

After releasing their self-titled debut album last year, London-based Cheatahs have proven themselves to be quite the prolific outfit. Releasing two EPs earlier this year, ‘Sunne’ and ‘Murasaki’, the band have already managed to write themselves a new album for this year and it certainly seems to suit the pace they have set for themselves.

While the shoegaze genre may have its distinctive hooks and sounds, Cheatahs have looked to break further away from their traditional conventions and create an album that is more true to their own style. With echoed vocals, fuzzy guitars and a cymbal-filled backdrop, 'Mythologies' is a breakdown of everything the band have been working on all year, condensed and honed over a 13-track release.

At this rate, it may not be long before we get to hear more material from them, but given their current form, we'd more than welcome it.
