Dark Duo Domino Gold | 'Wichita' Video trailer

“The aim is to produce music that can take you on a journey; an audio version of a film. I find it hard to describe this music. To me, it’s just the sound of Domino Gold.”

Illusive, dark and distorted - Domino Gold. After dropping their track ‘Free is Free’ on SoundCloud at the start of the year which (rightfully) earned no less than 50,000 plays entirely organically, alt R&B duo Domino Gold are coming back with ‘Wichita’ and an accompanying video shot by LOVO Films (boasting past clients such as FaceBook and Coca-Cola).

Keeping us in the dark of the darkness, the Internet offers little insight into this enigmatic pair who are often compared to artists such as FKA Twigs, Nao, Arca and Zora Jones. All we are told is that they belong to Loud Parade – a London multimedia house homing the brains of creatives, musicians and artists with the common ethos of “creating something greater than their parts”.

And, create that they have. Taking the shape of a short film as opposed to the classic music video, ‘Wichita’ offers a truly immersive insight into a completely unique love story. Dark, twisted and engulfing, evoking feelings we didn’t know existed, the song is brought to life through a story that sticks.
