If there was only one producer to name as the sound of now, it would be Diplo. In the last ten years, he has been involved with some of the biggest records and artists in the world, yet still maintains an underground edge that allows him to be one of the most eclectic beatmakers around today. While he isn't best known for putting out solo albums of his own, this new collection is more of a compilation of his productions, collaborations and remixes of the last three years. But while it may have all been recorded at various times, it still fits together as a body of work that sums up Diplo's current production style and influence.

Featuring collaborations with the likes of Steve Aoki and Waka Flocka Flame, 'Random White Dude Be Everywhere' is largely a commercially-minded EDM album but with that typical Diplo spice that has allowed him to stand away from the crowd throughout his whole career. It's overactive energy and insanity just add to the multi-clustered sound of this album that seems to go from one extreme to the next, whether it be rumbling percussions or spikes of looped voice samples. But its main problem is that it has no real flow or direction, mainly put down to the fact that this is just a thrown together collection of his recent work and not really an album in the traditional sense.

Its sheer intensity does make it hard to handle in places, as there is simply no letting up on his sound. But in small doses, I can't see why anyone wouldn't enjoy this man at work. An essential purchase for anyone looking for something very different from the standard dance scene of now.
