South London chaos merchants Fat Dog are back with the brilliantly unhinged new single 'Go Fuck Urself', a euphoric electro-pop explosion that somehow turns existential frustration into the most fun you can have in three minutes.
Built on shimmering 80s-inspired synths, pulsing Balearic grooves and warped melodica flourishes, the track sees the band leaning further into their unpredictable dance-punk instincts while keeping the anarchic energy that made debut album 'WOOF.' such a cult favourite. Equal parts meltdown and rave-up, 'Go Fuck Urself' feels like a nervous breakdown soundtracked by a warehouse party.
Frontman Joe Love delivers the track with deadpan cool, turning self-loathing and escapism into a strangely uplifting anthem. Beneath the absurdity and chaos, there’s something genuinely cathartic at the centre of it, a song about trying to outrun yourself and failing spectacularly.
The accompanying video, directed by Nine Screens, throws the band into a wrestling ring to hammer home the song’s wonderfully blunt message, matching the track’s manic energy frame for frame.
