For Dyvr, electronic music has never been solely about the dancefloor. Across a growing catalogue of emotionally rich releases, the London-based artist has transformed personal experience into immersive, club-focused music that balances vulnerability with euphoria, earning a reputation as one of the UK's most compelling emerging voices in alternative electronic music.
Her debut album 'Rebuild' represents the culmination of that journey. Written over more than three years, the nine-track record explores identity, grief, healing, sisterhood and self-discovery through expansive production and intimate songwriting. Featuring standout tracks including 'Cry Baby', 'Glass', and 'Sister', the album reflects both Dyvr's personal transition and the wider experiences of queer and trans communities, while building on the momentum of acclaimed performances at Glastonbury, Boomtown and Trans Pride events across the UK and Ireland.
So with the new album out now, we sat down with her to find out more about her origins and what has been inspiring her most over the years.

What was the first instrument you fell in love with?
I wish it was something interesting, but the truth is I just loved playing guitar. I loved how tiny adjustments could make such a difference to the sound. It felt very personal.
What kind of music did you love when you were younger?
Anything with big voices. RnB, soul, disco.
What was the first album you remember owning?
Well the honest answer to this is that when I was a kid I did a phone in competition for CITV and won a B*witched album. It was signed and I was over the moon!
What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?
“Who Knows Where the Time Goes?” by Sandy Denny. I think it’s possibly my favourite song of all time.
Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?
Not really. I actually love to approach things differently each time. I have ADHD and my need for novelty often finds its way into the songwriting process.
Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?
I’ve gotten pretty obsessed with Ganavya. She’s got such a magical voice. I’m South Asian too and I've always been so drawn to those voices.
If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?
Hands down, Self Esteem. I adore her and I think we’d do a great show together.
What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?
That feeling where something didn’t exist and now it’s something real. That you can interact with and feel things about. Creation is a profound gift.
And what is the most frustrating part?
Second guessing my abilities at every possible step because I'm insecure and emotional (which is why I make music).
And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?
Music isn’t everything. You’re a person first.
