What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

I fell in love with the Piano.. I used to spend time listening to my grandmother practicing on it and I have such a lovely memory about it.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

I was lucky to have my grandmother teaching me some opera music (she was a piano teacher and an opera singer), so classic music is the first music I have known and loved. Then I started listening to other genders and POP became my favourite one.

What was the first album you remember owning?

I have a clear memory of it! I was 13 years old and I stepped into a music store for the first time to purchase a vinyl... It was the compilation album of the Beatles 1.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

It's a very difficult choice.. but If I have to decide I might say "I wanna dance with somebody" by Whitney Houston.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

I usually like to take a long trip in the car if possible, to have the chance to listen to some music and find inspiration looking around me. I like to spend time alone, possibly in nature, to connect with my memories and feelings.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

My favorite artists who I cannot spend a day without are Ed Sheeran, Adele, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Michael Buble'.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

Ed Sheeran - for me is the number one.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

Receiving messages and comments from my fans saying that one of my songs helped them through a rough day or it made them feel good or it was part of an important moment. That means the world to me - to arrive to people's hearts and create soundtracks for their lives.

And what is the most frustrating part?

Not being able to perform live all the time and spend as much time as possible connecting with all my fans - live concerts are the best part of my job, the moment I can really be happy, and to be myself.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

Always to remember that I wouldn't be able to do what I do if it wasn't for my fans and therefore I should always treat them like family.
