What was the first instrument you fell in love with?

Guitar – my bedroom walls were covered in posters of Hendrix when I was a kid.

What kind of music did you love when you were younger?

Rock music. Jimi Hendrix. Led Zeppelin. The Beatles. The Rolling Stones. Pink Floyd. ACDC. David Bowie. I was really into Bob Dylan too. Then I discovered The Velvet Underground & The Cure.

What was the first album you remember owning?

My parents gave me The Beatles Collection on Vinyl.

What is the one song you wished you could have written yourself?

Imagine by John Lennon. It’s incredibly beautiful, full of hope and love.

Do you have any habits or rituals you go through when trying to write new music?

I like to walk the streets in the middle of the night when nobody’s around. I record ideas into my iphone. I like to have a theme to my music and releases. There is a French theme to my latest EP. It’s called “Démons à Combattre”. I wrote it last year walking the streets of Paris at night.

Who are your favourite artists you have found yourself listening to at the moment?

I like Fred Again - his track Jungle. There are some awesome tracks I discovered putting my latest DJ set together by SIDEPIECE, Giza DJ’s, Dos Locos, Fetish & Boris Brejcha. It really depends what mood I’m in. I listen to music all day long. It gets me through every day.

If you could open a show for anyone in the world, who would it be?

Not sure – that’s a hard one - I’d love to play Glastonbury.

What do you find is the most rewarding part about being a musician?

Turning people on with music is an amazing thing to do. I love the way that music brings people together. I also love the way that I can communicate through music – easier than I can in person.

And what is the most frustrating part?

Releasing music these days is very complicated – there’s a lot do and its very technical and time consuming.

And what is the best piece of advice you have received as a musician?

I met Bob Dylan when I was young and he told me to “enjoy the ride”.
