Glastonbury Festval could relocate for 2019

While there are already plans to postpone the festival in 2018 to allow the land to recover, Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis has announced that the event may start to look into relocating to a new site every few years in the future.

Although rather than simply move down the road, Eavis is looking for somewhere "towards the Midlands" instead, stating that the festival could make the move "every fifth year or so".

These plans come after an initial request to move the festival to Longleat earlier this year to allow the village and livestock on the farm some respite from the annual influx of visitors it receives every year. Sadly those plans fell through.

Glastonbury Festival 2017 will take place at its usual home of Worthy Farm, Somerset, between 21st-25th June, with Radiohead the only confirmed headliner so far.
