Heartshaker - 'Eostre'

7/10

Ever since they first emerged, Norwegian alt-rock outfit Heartshaker have always looked to place themselves into a more romantic guise than many of their contemporaries. Turning out a wealth of warm and shimmering gems that still manage to evoke a euphoric edge as often as possible, their tenure to date has been a vibrant one to say the least. And after more than a year away from new music, they return with their passionate new EP 'Eostre', a release brimming with dynamic appeal throughout.

Much like what we have come to expect from them over the years, 'Eostre' stands as a wonderfully bright and enigmatic listen. Packing plenty of punch and drive into its brief three-track runtime, this new outing sees them return to the fold with some of their most anthemic gems to date. Progressing forward within their direction to date, Heartshaker feel like they are on the cusp of the next phase within their musical evolution here.

While these last few years have certainly been a great time for innovation and self-discovery, 'Eostre' shows that they are still very much on top of their creative game. Beaming with fresh and alluring textures at every turn, they are definitely ones to keep a firm eye on for the years ahead as well.
