Heavenly Records announce 25th anniversary celebration

Heavenly Records, the former home of Manic Street Preachers, are turning 25 and to celebrate, will host a weekend-long event featuring some of their favourite current signings.

Taking place at The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge from 22nd-25th January, the HVN300 event will include performances from TOY (pictured), The Wytches, The Voyeurs, Temples, and the Mark Lanegan Band, with tickets going on sale tomorrow morning (4th November) at 9am.

"For two and a half decades, Heavenly has been an open invitation to bands, DJs, singers, songwriters, artists, writers, converts and non-believers; a melting pot of transcendent tunes and the very best ideas born over lost afternoons in the pub. For that time, it’s been an ever-growing group of friends and fellow travellers along similar pathways; it’s been records, club nights, bars, gigs, artworks, t-shirts and magazines," reads a statement.

"And all the while it’s never lost sight of that initial question, one that’s as relevant twenty-five years into a label’s lifespan as it was fifty years ago when John Sebastian first asked it."

"Heavenly. Believe in magic. Always. Do you?"
