Having spent the last few years unveiling classic and unheard film soundtracks from his iconic repertoire, John Carpenter has now announced that plans to release his groundbreaking 'Halloween' OST as part of the next film in the franchise.
Having not been involved in the horror series since Halloween III, Carpenter returns as executive producer, creative consultant, and soundtrack composer on the new David Gordon Green-directed sequel, for which he has composed a revamped version of his classic score alongside collaborators Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.
Both film and soundtrack will be out on the 19th October and you can check out a preview of the soundtrack in the player below.
