Jordan Rakei announces new album 'Origins'

Having recently collaborated with Loyle Carner on his single 'Ottolenghi' as well as Rosie Lowe on 'Birdsong', Jordan Rakei has now announced his return with news of a brand new studio album, arriving in the summer.

The new full-length 'Origins' is said to be largely inspired by Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror, Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks; is being previewed by the new single 'Say Something', and is set to arrive on the 14th June via Ninja Tune.

“I’m worried that we’re losing a sense of connection,” explains Jordan in the press release. With so much emphasis and reliance on new technology and how it is affecting humanity, ‘Say Something’ sees the frontman take a step back and deliver a lead track “about speaking up for what you believe in”.
