Joyeur previews debut album with new single 'Underbelly'

After cementing herself with a breadth of rich and adventurous releases over the last few years, fast-rising LA-based artist Joyeur has now returned to deliver her mesmerising new single 'Underbelly'.

Lifted from her forthcoming debut album 'How to Love Yourself And Not Destroy Everything', which lands on the 25th May, 'Underbelly' makes for a wonderfully bold and passionate listen. While channelling broad and explorative textures within the alt-pop spectrum, this new effort also sees her embark on a progressive venture throughout its production, giving the track a raw and distinct feel that really stands out from the crowd.

Speaking about the new release, she said, “Being naked is symbolic for the shedding of fear and emotional trauma. The soft underbelly—unprotected and open to attack—is the juiciest, most flavorful bit! It takes incredible courage to reveal yourself to yourself and others, but with that risk comes great reward.”

While she has been slowly making her way around the scene of late, 'Underbelly' feels like a completely different beast altogether. Free-spirited and visionary, we can definitely expect to see her as one of the hottest new names emerging right now.
