With her long-awaited new album allegedly due out some time later this year, Lorde made an unexpected appearance in a TV commercial on New Zealand TV last night.

The 15-second clip features the singer in the back of a car, chomping down on fries, while music is played in the background. The ad ends with two dates on screen; '3.2.17 NYC' and '3.3.17 NZ', probably signifying the dates of some new material.

It's all unconfirmed for now but you can make up your own mind by checking out the clip in the player below.
