Los Bitchos have announced their third full-length project 'Los Bitchos & Friends Vol 1', alongside new single ‘Holding Cell’, featuring Ambrose Kenny-Smith of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
Released ahead of the album’s arrival on the 13th November via GREAT! Records in association with !K7 Music, ‘Holding Cell’ brings Kenny-Smith’s vocals into the band’s typically instrumental world. Driving guitar lines provide its foundation before the arrangement grows increasingly dense, eventually opening into a sweeping collision of distorted guitars.
The collaboration signals the broader approach behind 'Los Bitchos & Friends Vol 1'. Across nine tracks, the London-based trio invite musicians from several corners of their international musical community into their distinctive blend of psychedelic rock, cumbia and global rhythms.
Other contributors include Sinkane, Adrian Quesada, Chicha Libre and Kit Sebastian, while ‘Forest’ was co-written with Simon Burke of The Meltdown.
