Lucy Dacus announces new album 'Forever Is A Feeling'

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus has officially announced her highly-anticipated fourth studio album 'Forever Is A Feeling', set for release on the 28th March via Polydor Label Group. The record also boasts an impressive roster of contributors, including Hozier, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch, and Melina Duterte.

To accompany the album announcement, Dacus has released two new tracks 'Limerence' and 'Ankles', with the latter paired with a cinematic music video filmed in Paris, and featuring a guest appearance by Havana Rose Liu. These releases mark Dacus’s first solo music since boygenius earned three GRAMMYs and a BRIT Award for their critically acclaimed 2024 album 'the record'.

'Forever Is A Feeling' marks a thematic shift from Dacus’s previous album 'Home Video', which delved into childhood and adolescence. The new record is a deeply personal exploration of adult relationships, love, and loss. Written between Fall 2022 and Summer 2024, the album reflects Dacus’s emotional journey through falling in and out of love.

“I got kicked in the head with emotions,” Dacus shares. “Falling in love, falling out of love. You have to destroy things in order to create things. And I did destroy a really beautiful life.”
