Lucy Rose has unveiled 'Am I Asking Too Much (Live at Union Chapel)', offering the first taste of her upcoming live record 'The Complete Concert At Union Chapel', due digitally on 14th August.
Captured during her sold-out performance at London's Union Chapel earlier this year, the recording preserves one of the evening's most intimate moments. The song was written only days before the show and performed while the emotions behind it were still fresh, making its live debut feel especially immediate and unguarded.
The track emerged during a period in which music had largely taken a back seat to family life. Following the birth of her second child and a difficult period of illness within her family, Rose found herself returning to songwriting slowly, with rehearsals alongside her band helping unfinished ideas finally take shape.
One of two previously unheard songs introduced during the concert, 'Am I Asking Too Much' arrives ahead of the full live album release and offers a glimpse into what Lucy Rose describes as some of the most personal writing of her career.
