Having barely toured after the release of their debut album 'The Shadow Of Heaven' back in 2013, MONEY managed to keep a lot of mystique about themselves and have thus created a strong and dedicated fanbase in the process. But as time has moved on, so have the band as their second studio full-length 'Suicide Songs' aims to deliver a more tranquil vision of their sound and ultimately start a new beginning for the Manchester group.

From the off, 'Suicide Songs' is not your standard indie release. Opening with 'I Am The Lord', a track that uses an overabundance of sitar, certainly makes a statement about their intentions on this record. But with a strong influence from other wistful indie outfits like Elbow and British Sea Power, MONEY have managed to create a pleasing return to form that shows growth and confidence within their sound.

While it may lack that instant punch you would need to really let an album get under your skin, MONEY have still managed to produce a thoroughly enjoyable release.
