After returning with his new album 'All Melody' at the start of the year and following it up with a subsequent 'Encores' EP, Nils Frahm has now announced his plans for a new four-track release carrying on from those records.
The new EP 'Encores 2' aims to continue the inspiration found while making 'All Melody', but while 'Encores' focused mainly on the piano-led concepts from the new album, 'Encores 2' aims to capture the more ambient and ethereal motives during that process.
Speaking about the new release, Frahm added, "The idea behind Encores is one we had from before All Melody; to do three releases each with their own distinct musical style and theme, perhaps even as a triple album. But All Melody became larger than itself and took over any initial concepts.”
'Encores 2' is expected to arrive on the 25th January, is being previewed by the sprawling 12-minute 'Spells', and you can check out the new single as well as full tracklisting in the player below.
