Promise & The Monster - 'Feed The Fire'

7/10

Having found herself circumnavigating the contemporary music scene for many years now, Promise & The Monster aka Billie Lindahl is certainly looking to gather a fresh batch of new attention with her latest release 'Feed The Fire'. Channelling the hypnotic and psychedelic sound of the 1960s and adding a post-modern production style, this new release has this fresh yet familiar feel to it, making an incredibly inviting release.

With its luxurious soundscapes and transcendent vocals, 'Feed The Fire' is an uplifting and positively-minded release from start to finish. Full bodied in its approach to songwriting, the album has this rich and well-rounded feel throughout each song, inviting you in and giving a sense of warmth and comfort within the record.

It is certainly an album that suits these colder months. You can almost picture the snowy, wooded backdrop this full-length was recorded in as it plays, and definitely makes these times in sub-zero temperatures more bearable.
