The Ram - 'I Am Nowhere, I Am Everywhere'

7/10

Ever since he first emerged, US artist Mark "The Ram" O'Donnell has always looked to add a richer and mote progressive direction to his immersive blues-rock aesthetic. Garnering plenty of praise and acclaim for his 2023 LP 'Songs Of Wanderlust', his tenure to date has been this wildly explorative one as he looks to build upon the dynamic direction he has built over the years. And with plenty of wondrous releases under his belt in recent months, he returns once again with his new studio album 'I Am Nowhere, I Am Everywhere', a record that shines with innovation throughout.

Featuring the previously shared gems 'Listen To The Cold', 'Unbound' and 'Perpetual Change', this nine-track collection finds him in a brilliantly bold and adventurous guise once again. Developing more of that warm yet immersive sound he has quickly earned a reputation for over the years, O'Donnell looks to make this offering one of his more enigmatic and engaging releases to date. Whether he is looking to lure us in with rousing soundscapes or get our toes tapping with some infectious grooves, The Ram remains a forward-thinking project that never looks to rest on its laurels at any time.

It has certainly been a busy and productive time for him lately, but hearing 'I Am Nowhere, I Am Everywhere' in its full glory gives us a strong indication of where his heart and mind have been at lately. Moving with this soft and subtle elegance from track to track, he remains one of the more enticing names currently rising through the ranks.
