After exploding onto both the drum n bass and commercial scene back in 2013, Rudimental quickly became the figureheads for the genre and their debut album 'Home' displayed their talent and influence throughout a whole range of dance music sub-genres. Now back with their second full-length attempt, 'We The Generation' sees them take a more mellow approach to their chosen sound, allowing this record to be more of a vibe than a specific style.

Still working with regular collaborators Ella Eyre, MNEK and Will Heard, with special appearances from Ed Sheeran, Lianne La Havas and Dizzee Rascal this time around, 'We The Generation' certainly doesn't have that same dancefloor appeal of their debut record. Focusing more on the soulful elements of their sound, this new record is more about bopping your head than throwing your arms around and makes for a much more cohesive listen.

While fans might be disappointed at the lack of energy when compared to their last work, there is no denying the brilliantly produced tracks on this new release. It sounds like the group have finally found their rhythm and have taken it to the natural next step.
