SASAMI shares 'Just Be Friends (Soccer Mommy Version)'

SASAMI has unveiled a new version of Blood On The Silver Screen standout 'Just Be Friends', this time reworked with a rootsy twist and featuring the unmistakable vocals of Soccer Mommy. Titled 'Just Be Friends (Soccer Mommy Version)', the track swaps its pop melancholy for pedal steel and Southern shimmer, leaning hard into the modern-country inspiration that originally sparked the song.

The reimagined track doesn’t lose the heartbreak, but gains a new hue that is wistful, grounded, and full of twang. It’s a perfect pairing of Soccer Mommy’s laid-back delivery adds gravitas, while the updated production lends the track the authenticity SASAMI always envisioned.

Fresh off tour dates with Toro y Moi and Mannequin Pussy, SASAMI now joins King Princess on her US run, with this new version primed to become a live favourite.
