She & Him announce new covers album 'Classics'

Folk duo She & Him have announced their plan for a new covers album for later this year.

The pair, consisting of actress and singer Zooey Deschanel and guitarist M. Ward, will release their second cover's album 'Classics' in the autumn, following on from their festive themed album 'A Very She And Him Christmas' in 2011 and their latest studio album 'Volume 3' last year.

In a statement about the new record, Deschanel said: "We are incredibly excited to release a record of our favorite songs. It was a dream of ours to record these songs in a way that highlighted the brilliance of the songwriting and the beauty of their melodies. We had a wonderful time making the record and we hope people have a wonderful time listening to it."

'Classics' will feature 13 cover songs and the two will be backed by a 20 piece orchestra throughout.
