STONE announce new album 'AUTONOMY'

Liverpool’s alt-rock disruptors STONE have dropped their blistering new single ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’, alongside details of their forthcoming second album 'AUTONOMY', out 20th February 2026 via V2 Records. The release is accompanied by a gritty, DIY-style tour video and news of a UK & European headline tour, with dates spanning April 2026.

The track sees the four-piece dial into a raw, frenzied energy, fusing chaotic lyricism with scathing guitars and a chant-like hook that captures the dangerous spiral of temptation and excess. Written as the first track for 'AUTONOMY', it sets the tone for a record that reflects the band’s journey through post-debut disillusionment, creative reawakening, and a renewed focus on authenticity.

Speaking on the single, frontman Fin Power explains: "’MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’ is about temptation and the chaos of partying when control slips away. The birdy in your ear screams for more and the mirror only reflects something you do not want to see. The chant of ‘MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO’ captures that loss of control. Through sharp metaphors the song also reflects on the industry and the tension between authenticity and the image that media prefers. Chasing mice around the board and being a vampire both echo the restless soulless nights that come with the scene. This track is gritty, unfiltered and restless, pulling you into the madness of nights that feel endless.”
