Having remained fairly quiet since the release of their last LP 'Kannon' back in 2015, drone-metal outfit Sunn O))) are set to return with not one, but two studio albums later this year.
Formed and recorded by co-founders Stephen O'Malley & Greg Anderson alongside producer Steve Albini, the first of the new records 'Life Metal' was recorded at Dave Grohl’s 606 studios in Northridge, California and Electrical Audio (Studio A) in Chicago, and is expected to arrive this April via Southern Lord.
The second LP 'Pyroclasts' is due out sometime later in the year, with both releases recorded using analogue techniques, recording and mixing directly onto tape.
