These New Puritans unveil new single 'Wild Fields'

These New Puritans unveil the final glimpse of their forthcoming album 'Crooked Wing' with the release of 'Wild Fields', a solemn, elegiac new track ahead of the album’s arrival this Friday 23rd May via Domino.

“Wild Fields is a bit of an outlier on the album, in that it’s quite a traditional song,” says Jack Barnett. “It ends with the words ‘come down from crystal heavens above’, a quotation from William Byrd’s lament for Thomas Tallis. When I googled it to check the reference, it just showed me endless advice about crystal meth withdrawal. Those are the only ads I see now. So this song has a lot to answer for.”

The new track follows recent singles 'A Season In Hell', 'Bells', and 'Industrial Love Song' featuring Caroline Polachek, and further builds anticipation for 'Crooked Wing', the band’s long-awaited fifth studio album, produced by Barnett and Bark Psychosis’ Graham Sutton.
