Despite arriving on the new music scene back when they were just 17-years-old, Norwegian outfit Veps quickly established themselves as one of the more exciting names emerging in recent years. With a raw and rustic sound that compliments their DIY approach to both sound and style, their outings so far have seen them break out of their native Oslo and find praise and acclaim on the international circuit as well. And as they look to leave their teenage years, they have now delivered their hotly-tipped debut studio album 'Oslo Park', a record that cements their legacy to date.

Produced by fellow Norwegian Matias Tellez, best known for his work with Girl In Red and Sondre Lerche, 'Oslo Park' marks itself as a wonderfully rich and alluring listen. Capturing more of that sweet yet almost shambolic approach to production, which has quickly become their calling card over the years, the four-piece offer a larger glimpse into their warm and embracing world. Wearing their 90s indie-rock influences firmly on their sleeves throughout, their first full-length has almost perfected the art of creating fresh and euphoric anthems without the need for over-the-top fanfare.

While its minimal sound and direction doesn't sometimes fall flat on occasion, 'Oslo Park' is largely a bright and welcoming LP brimming with bold and creative ideas. They may still be within the infancy of their career here, but this new collection is gushing with promise and an adventurous vigour that is hard to ignore.
