Having previously found herself compared to the likes of Angel Olsen, Weyes Blood, and Fiona Apple for her sprawling releases over the last few months, emerging artist Wish Queen has now returned once again to deliver her sweeping new effort 'sub rosa'.
Teaming up with Nathaniel Hunt of Muzzy Fossa for the release, 'sub rosa' makes for a wonderfully warm and alluring listen. Channelling a brilliantly smooth and effervescent 1970s dream-pop direction throughout, this new offering sees her build upon her aesthetic to date, and deliver a beautifully enigmatic gem in the process.
While she has already earned plenty of praise for her singles over the last few months, there is something about 'sub rosa' that really stands out within her repertoire so far. With such a fresh and adventurous approach to both songwriting and production, we can't wait to hear what she has in store for us again in the near future.
